A Feature in a Magazine and Fat Free Easter Eggs!!

I completely forgot (since it was organized a little while back) that I was going to have a little feature in Popular Crafts Magazine this month.  You have a chance to win some of my handmade goodies in a competition they are running in their March issue which is on sale now.

And this is it...

Can you spot my hand embroidered hearts???

Here's a close up...

If you don't win the competition or if you are interested in purchasing a hand embroidered heart then you can purchase them from the website - www.sweetwilliams.biz or email me sweet.williams@live.co.uk.  They can have any word embroidered onto the front (as long as I can fit it in the gap)!!  They are £6.00 each plus postage.

Last night and this morning I made a handful of Easter Egg decorations.  They really do make me smile.  And what has made me smile even more is that some have been sold already and I will be making some more.  Happy happy :-)

Have you paid a visit to the Facebook page?  Here is the link - http://www.facebook.com/sweetwilliamshandmade

I know it is a LONG way off yet but I am on a mission to get to 1,000 likes.  Not even half way yet so it will be a long process but I am looking forward to meeting new people along the way.  AND GUESS WHAT???  When I do get to 1,000 likes I shall be running a super duper big competition where you lovely people have a chance to win LOTS of handmade goodies as well as crafting supplies for those who prefer to make their own.  So spread the word and help Sweet Williams reach the big 1,000 :-)

Hope you have all had a fabulous weekend.  I'm now starting to get preparations underway for the first event of 2012 which is next Friday where I shall be having a stall to sell my goodies.  I will make sure I take pics.

It's been busy around these parts...

Hello!

Hope you are all doing ok?  It's been a bit manic around here so I haven't blogged for a while.

Last week saw the completion of the trade order for the shop.  Wanna see all the goodies?

Lots of hand embroidered heart decorations, daffodil brooches, heart shaped brooches and bag charms.  Sorry the photo is a bit naff but you get the idea.

We had a very poorly household last week which was tough going.  We're all thankfully on the mend though.

I have made a couple of re-adjustments to the website to include cheaper postage and these wooden buttons are now £2.00 per pack instead of £2.20 :-)

This is the link to them on the website - BUTTONS

Today I have been making lots of leek brooches in readiness for St David's Day.

And having a mega sort out of all buttons, felt and ribbon.  Some American Crafts stash here, also available to purchase from the website :-)

I LOVE daffodils.  I took a pic of them yesterday afternoon which looked like this...

But when I came down this morning they had opened out...

Makes me feel all spring like.

Off to sort the boys tea now and finish some more sewing :-) xxx

Exciting News

Firstly, look at these colourful goodies which landed on my mat this morning.  I very much like my postman today for bringing these to me and putting a smile on my face :-)

Pleased to have my jars filled up with supplies again :-)

Right then, I have a little bit of exciting news to share with you.

Some of you who read my blog are also personal friends of mine so you may already know about my excitement already.

I now supply a gorgeous shop in Barmouth, Wales.  To say I am delighted is an understatement.  The shop re-opens next weekend where some of my handmade goodies can be purchased.  If you live local go and pay them a visit.

This is the shop: -
(These photographs belong to Luvit! and have not been taken by myself, although I really do want to pop up and make my own visit).

I'll keep you updated and will most certainly show you pics when all the goodies have been made and are safely with the shop but in the meantime go pay their Facebook page a visit - they have some gorgeous things to feast your eyes on : -

Hope you are all having a good weekend.  Its snowing LOTS here at the moment so I am going to sit and watch it fall whilst doing my favourite job in the world - sewing and playing with buttons, felt, ribbon and fabric :-)

Treat your Washing up Liquid Bottle to a Cute Apron

Seriously now, I haven't gone mad (or have I)????

I have been making these for a while now and each time I make a batch I sell out.  So now I have come to the conclusion that EVERY washing up bottle MUST NOT continue to be naked and must be dressed appropriately!!

Now you really do think I'm barking right???

Here are some pics of what I'm talking about...

Apologies and Just Because!!

Apologies comes first.  Sorry to all of my wonderful bloggy friends whom I haven't been keeping in touch with as much as I would like lately.  It's been so manic but I am in the middle of reading through all my fave blogs from the past two weeks!!  I'm starting to get into a routine now with being back at the day job so I am hoping I should be around here a bit more in the next few weeks.

And just because...

A bunch of flowers

Or two...

And a bar of Galaxy (a large one of course)!!!

We all have to treat ourselves now and again don't we???

To go with the Valentines brooches I made I have also made a batch of these cute heart decorations.  What do you think?

I have a few more orders to sort this evening but then I am going to be having a play with some of these to see what I can come up with  :-)

Ps.  If I can reach 500 fans on Facebook then I shall be running another little competition.  Go check out my page if you don't already follow and spread the word as you could be the lucky winner  :-)  Details of prize will be announced soon xxx   LINK TO FB PAGE - CLICK HERE

Love is in the air...

Now if you know me well you will know that I don't "do" Valentines.  I don't "do" romance and all that jazz so when hubby came home yesterday and saw this...

I think he almost keeled over with shock!!!

I made these cute little Valentines brooches and couldn't resist setting up a scene!!!  I have also made little heart decorations and super cute bunting which I will show you in another post soon.

Aren't they cute altogether???

I've come over all lovey dovey!!  My hubby read this he'll think he's got himself a new wife!!!

The kids (and hubby) loved eating the strawberry pink Angel Delight afterwards in any event!!!

New Routines and LOTS of fabric purchases (AGAIN)!!!

Hello!!

Yes, it's been a little while since my last blog post.  In fact I didn't quite realise just how long.  My new routine is going to take some getting used to.  I have still been facebooking so some of you will have seen some of my latest makes over there - go check out my page if you haven't seen it - Facebook Page.

I started back to work on 3rd January.  It was quite a shock to the system after having almost 10 months off and a good Christmas.  I am now working 3 days a week at the day job so the rest of the time I can do Sweet Williams things (and enjoy the kids more).

Easter Chick Decoration

I was expecting January to be extremely quiet after the hugely busy Christmas period but have found that it is still really busy and have started a proper order book and may have to introduce a waiting list soon.

Lots of exciting stuff is going on behind the scenes at Sweet Williams.  I hope to share some exciting news very soon.

I am currently booked in to do 7 craft fairs over the next few months and I can't wait to get back out there networking and meeting new people.

Spring is certainly on its way and I have been busy making things in readiness.  The Easter chick above being one of them.  I have sold 25 of these daffodil brooches this last week.  Perfect to brighten up a coat, cardi or bag.  If you are a Welshy like me then you may like one for the Rugby or St. David's Day.

Lots of other things have been made including some of these goodies...

Perfect for Mother's Day.  I also have them saying "Mam" on instead of "Mum" but I can also make them saying anything you want.

A pretty coin purse with super cute lining.

AND NOW for the EXCITING BIT

FABRIC!!!

As you probably know by now I absolutely LOVE fabric.  I think I am actually becoming addicted to buying it.  There are so many beautiful ones out there and I have so many ideas spinning around in my head that if I see some I like I just HAVE to buy it!!  Anyone else find they have the same problem???

Here are the current additions to my fabric stash...

These two are from the lovely Sara over at Kittyeden.

Masses of gorgeous Cath Kidston Stanley fabric.  I LOVE THIS SOOOOOO MUCH!!!

Here's a close up...

Even more Cath Kidston fabric.  Again, masses and masses of it!  Pretty pretty...

Here's a close up of this one...

I am really looking forward to whipping up some lovely handmade goodies with this lot.

I have had a fab delivery of some wonderful buttons too but haven't taken any pics of those as I was sooo mega excited when I received them I had to play with them, put them all in colour piles then fill up my jars straight away!!  Yes, I am a freak when it comes to things like this!!!

Lastly, look at this I bought over Christmas...

Isn't it just mega cute?  I have a new found love of toadstools and simply couldn't resist it.

Happy Friday everyone - hope you all have a good weekend.  I shall be ploughing through the orders playing with buttons, fabric and felt A LOT and this means it will be a GOOD weekend :-)
